Why Skeletons

In our genesis collection, Spiritual Beings is flipping the narrative on skeletons. Our skeleton artwork is inspired by the story of the valley of the dry bones in which the scattered bones come together to form a great army by the breath of the Spirit. 

The story represents life, hope, and transformation. It is a visual manifestation of our hope and declaration for our community. Things that feel disjointed and scattered, or even dead, can come together again through the journey of spirituality.

Spiritual Beings is a collection that is based on a firm foundation — that we are more the same than we are different. We are spirit, mind, and body. We are all spiritual beings.

Jody Chadban

Jody was born and raised in Newcastle, Australia. In 2013, she went through an extreme life change that led her to NYC with her husband, two children, and two suitcases each with a deep calling to be part of full-time ministry work in the city to bring spirituality and wellness.

Jody came into web3 through her work with My Social Canvas, a non-profit that mentors and equips Gen Z women and girls, that launched the Boss Beauties NFT collection in 2021. As Chief of Staff of Boss Beauties and President of My Social Canvas, Jody built Boss Beauties alongside the founders.

Jody is passionate about spirituality. The Spiritual Beings collection is born from that passion. For the past 30 years, she has been forming communities based on spirituality. She loves to see people become all they were created to be.

I worked with a number of nonprofits and was able to see powerful results. As Chief of Staff of Boss Beauties and President of My Social Canvas, I built Boss Beauties alongside the founders from day zero.

I am passionate about spirituality. The Spiritual Beings NFT collection is born from that passion. For the past 30 years, I have been crafting and forming communities based on spirituality. I love to see people become the very best versions of themselves, to be all they have been created to be. I am passionate about speaking life and spreading joy. I love the generations and value loyalty, integrity, and kindness.

I have seen the power and significance of NFTs and the very real-world change and impact they can have. I am beyond bullish on NFTs and believe it is the most incredible medium and platform to house audacious life-long dreams and plans. I love the NFT community and thrive on the excitement, pace, and heart of this space. LFG!

When I’m not immersed in Web3, I love to lay on the beach all day long, for hours, and I never want to leave! Living in Mr. Sheffield’s townhouse from the TV show ‘The Nanny,’ on the UES of Manhattan came close!

I'm a New Yorker who was born in the Bronx and lived in Manhattan for many years before moving to South Florida just before the pandemic. I spent 16 years in the Financial Services industry where I cultivated quality relationships with wealth managers by helping them diversify their client's investment portfolios with value oriented mutual funds.

I'm attracted to NFTs as the space is still relatively new, fast-moving and filled with opportunity. I was drawn to Spiritual Beings NFT due to the wonderful people involved and the timing of the project.

Sometimes called “the Michael Jordan of generative art coding,” Jim has coded approximately 200,000 NFTs with more than $40 million in total sales (so far). His Medium blog ("Generative NFT articles"), read by 1 million Web3 insiders since 2021, is considered by many the definitive source of generative art coding and NFT drop team project management information.

Jim’s obsession with NFTs began on March 11, 2021, when Beeple sold an NFT for $69 million. It has not stopped since. Spiritual Beings NFT is an absolutely stellar team of NFT-space professionals looking to consciously bring more much-needed humanity, positivity, kindness, and big-picture reflection into the space. Jim and Wendi live in Portland, Oregon, and also in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to getting into NFT coding, Jim was a web and database application developer for the past decade. His background includes various corporate marketing and publishing roles over the years.

The name ‘Spiritual Beings’ caught my attention at first, because we're all spiritual beings. It made me interested in learning more about the project, and about Jody and Stuart. The project and team are ALL stellar and I'm happy to have accepted the project.

We’ve come a long way from when I was expelled from college in the '80s for hacking. The Internet was relatively new and hacking was mostly just young, inquisitive tech-minded people trying to figure out what could and couldn't be done. When I’m not working with NFTs, I travel the world studying art from master teachers in various countries. My favorite is learning miniature painting techniques from the well-known master painter, Ajay Sharma, in India.

Treg McCoy is a fine artist based in New York City. After a successful career as an artist in Los Angeles and New York, managing his own exhibitions and taking on commission work for clients like Geoffrey Beene, John Kluge and Salvatore Ferragamo, Treg put his career on pause to serve the underprivileged around the world. His life experience now includes being part of building a home for children born into brothels in Pune, India, working with a house of refuge for the drug-addicted in Medellin, Colombia, helping refugee mothers in Haifa, Israel and many other places and projects that left their mark on his heart and his story. In the process, he illustrated five children’s books to raise funds for a feeding program that feeds hungry kids in 53 countries. The artist in him could never be fully paused.

Treg is currently working on oil paintings, collages with found images on cardboard, and digital photography art. His work revolves around themes of light pushing through darkness and the juxtaposition of work with hard straight lines contrasted by soft, blurred images that represent the contrasts of the world we live in.
